Seminar on Industrial Enterprise Carbon Neutrality and VOCs Management Theme and Anhui Huiyun Environmental Establishment Conference

On July 10, the "Seminar on Carbon Neutral and VOCs Governance in Industrial Enterprises," sponsored by Anhui Huiyun Environment, concluded successfully in the Xingao District of Hefei City.

The year 2021 marks the beginning of the "14th Five-Year Plan," with the Central Economic Work Conference highlighting "achieving peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality" as one of the key tasks for the year. China's commitment to the goals and vision of "peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality" signifies a firm adherence to the principles of new development, the establishment of a new development pattern, promotion of industrial transformation and upgrading, and the pursuit of a green, low-carbon, and circular development path for high-quality development.

The event was hosted by Alick, the EHS Manager of Corning Display Glass. Garry, the General Manager of EFC Huanyi, and Fei Bo from the Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences, were invited as sharing guests. Focusing on how industrial enterprises in Hefei can address prominent environmental challenges, they shared advanced cases and experiences from leading domestic and international companies, especially exploring advanced practices in VOCs governance in Shanghai. The event provided valuable insights and inspiration for environmental governance in Hefei's industrial enterprises.

The opening remarks were delivered by Alick, the EHS Manager of Corning Display Glass. Using the three questions of the soul, he shared his understanding of environmental protection, emphasizing the alignment with the national strategy of "Green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver," providing wisdom and inspiration for EHS practitioners. Subsequently, each guest was introduced to openly share their experiences, and finally, gratitude was expressed to Anhui Huiyun Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. for providing the venue and technical support for the salon.

In the first half, Garry, the General Manager of EFC Huanyi, shared insights on the topic "Introduction to Carbon Neutrality and Enterprise Management Practices." He thoroughly analyzed the development progress of leading domestic and international companies in achieving carbon neutrality goals, China's development strategy for carbon neutrality, policy orientation in China, and corporate governance measures, comprehensively analyzing the environmental issues faced by industrial enterprises in the era of carbon neutrality.

In the second half, Professor Fei from the Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences shared the topic "VOCs Governance Technology and Application Cases," covering three main parts:

A detailed explanation of the identification, source improvement, end treatment, and application cases of twelve emission sources of typical industrial VOCs.

The atmosphere at the venue was lively, and various management personnel actively asked Professor Fei questions about the practical issues encountered in VOCs governance in their own enterprises. Professor Fei patiently answered each question and provided modification suggestions.

In the course of these discussions, the salon concluded successfully, and participants eagerly anticipated the next gathering!
